What Customers Say About CH Products Flight Sim Yoke USB ( 200-615 ):

Hi I have been flight siming for quite sometime and recently made the Jump to real world piloting both fixed wing and rotary aircraft. The Jury is not in on these yet. You`ll get a real thrill/chill and a sense of accomplishment. The only thing one does not quite experience is the actual mechanical tactile elements and forces of "G" associated with real world flying. We have Joy Lt Scott St. Otherwise When in X-Plane, FX or 2004 Microsoft programs you are real as you program it. The fellas I fly fixed wing with and my instructor for rotary aircraft all agree that my use of flight programs with this equipment has translated into a more fluid, focused training experience. Try landing on the pitching deck of a carrier in Lomac IL2 or Pacific fighters.

This is also true of older Ubisoft titles which fly well and much more acurately than with Logitech controller Sticks. Logitech has just come out with controllers like Ch-Products and Saitek. Especially when battle dam-aged I love CH-Products READ what you can do W/CMS Software. John

i will never use amazon again nor will i encurage my friends to usethem. when the yoke arived the two knobs on the top were broken off and laying in the bottem of the box. i emailed to see what could be done and was told to bad it was the post officeas i was leaving soon for arizona for the next 3 months i had no way to return the item and was also told it was not an option. because we are retired and live in our motorhome i left the yoke at home in phoenix. really a bad bunch of people.

Ordered this for my 10 year old for XMAS. Very good that it has some clamps that are on the bottom that you can fasten to your desk, etc. It was his request and the #1 item on his wish list. He was picky about what he wanted in his "yoke" and this really made him happy. that allow for the unit to be solid when the operator pulls back on the yoke. The reviews seem to indicate that this model is very well liked and I have heard that some actual pilots use this game toy to practice.

I am giving this product an average review - not because it doesn't work as advertised, but because it is true that the stability of the product degrades over time and that it will need to be replaced every 2 years or so, and that's with fairly infrequent use. I believe anyone considering this product should consider buying something more pricey because they are going to get more mileage out of it. The calibration of my yoke after 2 years of owning it is completely out of whack. I've tried recalibrating within Flight Simulator and it's no good, the yoke doesn't have a steady "idle" position and jumps all over the place depending on how far the center column snaps forwards or backwards after applying pressure. The flaw in this peripheral is not in its construction so much as its design. Out of the box the product is great, it's not until later that you'll start experiencing problems.

I don't have anything other than the real thing (airplane) to compare this to, so maybe this is as good as it gets -- but I was disappointed in this yoke at the start and it gets worse as time goes by. Now it seems to have dead spots that make it difficult to hold altitude or directional control, and you are constantly trying to "nudge" it forward with tiny bumps to get it to change and it holds-nudge-holds-nudge-holds-nudge-jump. I've owned it for three years now, using it with MS Flight Simulator, and it has degraded considerably since I purchased to the point of uselessness. I had hoped to use it for instrument practice, but no joy.At the start it was usable, though poor and nothing like really flying. The jump overshoots, so you are back to barely trying to nudge it again. Maybe I'm expecting too much from a under-$100-yoke, but disappointed.
